What’s Your True North?

Posted on August 23, 2020 by True North Rockies

Looking deep within, what does True North mean to you.

True North is not pointing at a location on the map. Nor are we referencing the famed work of Harvard Business School professor, Bill George, on leadership.

This is about taking the time to reconnect with your inner self and truly discovering your personal compass, metaphorically speaking.

We reflect on the year slipping away, and are grateful for the time we thought we couldn’t afford for all the things we wished to do.

Discovering True Serenity:

Social distancing enabled us to reflect more on things that bring us a sense of calm. We stepped away from the daily grind, slowed down and turned to feeding our soul, spending more time with loved ones, taking more time out for meditation.

To enrich our mind, body and soul
To give each other more time

Finding True Beauty

We took for granted the beauty that lies in everyday life. The wildlife in every season is a spectacle, and we discovered true beauty in each sunrise and sunset. Taking a safari became even easier once we realized the richness of the flora and fauna near our homes.

To reconnect with nature

True Escape…in our backyards

We started to travel more in our backyard and finding beauty closer to home. Short getaways to the mountains have become the norm – whether it is to find a new adventure or to wind down with a plethora of activities for everyone in the family.

To rediscover our own backyard

Tell us in the comments below, how you found your true north.
